I write for love, I write with love, I write because of love. For love is all we have to tie the pieces of this broken & beautiful world together.  Who do I write for? Why do I write? I write for love.

Be Like Nature, Really

Firstly, I would like to start by saying, We Are Nature! We are part of the vast ecosystem of this beautiful planet. We are not separate from it like we have been led to believe. We know it, but do we really know it in our bones and hearts?  Then, do we take action and follow the wise intelligence of nature?

It is May here at the time of writing this. I watch the trees shed their seeds. They have no concerns of  how many seeds will germinate or where they will go.

This got me pondering the idea that most humans grapple with: we wish we could be more like nature. Flow with the wind, surrender to the water in the stream when it comes upon a rock in its way, or put our faces to the sun even in tough times.

But we don’t tend to be like nature in our daily existence. We wish to, but do we actually follow the examples that we witness in the natural world every day? We might read a book or attend a workshop and find ourselves immersed in the natural world but do we make it a consistent practice?

And so, perhaps we should be like the tree and not worry about the seeds we sow, the numbers, the reach, or the likes. Perhaps we do right to include ourselves in nature and live our truest natural beingness. Then, we trust that those who are drawn to our gifts will appear at the right time, as the seeds from the tree will fall, then blow, or be carried off, just as nature guides them to the perfect place to land.

Let us watch the wave on the shore ebbing and flowing, knowing that we are all a part of nature’s cycles.
Let us feel the wind on our skin, knowing it is the same breeze that moves the trees and the clouds through the endless gentle dance of nature.
Let us sit by a still pond knowing that nature’s life is abundant even when it looks like nothing is happening. In that perceived nothing, is everything.

What is one thing we can do in this present moment to, be more like nature?
Really like nature, in our bones and our hearts.

A sacred welcome to my space of sharing. Here you might find something on horses or something about dogs and always something connected to humanity. Our relation to the world around us and all that is. I write what is in my heart for it wishes not to remain there but to be shared with the world. We all have a special path, authentic voice and unique reason to be and these posts are my path, my voice and my reason to be.
